Julian has been playing drums and guitar since he was 13. Music has always been a core part of his life - he studied three music subjects in VCE and went on to complete a Certificate IV in Music Industry.
His goal as a teacher is simple: to share the joy of playing and give you that feeling of accomplishment when you master something new. Lessons are open to kids and adults, from absolute beginners through to intermediate players. Whether you're just starting out or working on specific techniques, every lesson happens at your home, is tailored to your pace, and is designed to keep you inspired.

Standard rate for single sessions with flexible scheduling.
Note for drum students: Students need their own drum kit or practice pad at home. Beginners are welcome to start with a practice pad for technique and rhythm fundamentals!

Common Questions
The quick answers before you book
Where do you travel to?
I travel within about 70km of Tarneit at my standard rates. That covers the Western Suburbs, the CBD, the Inner North, the Eastern and South-Eastern Suburbs, and down to Frankston and much of the Mornington Peninsula. Geelong isn't included in the standard area. If you're outside the 70km area or in Geelong, I'm happy to work out a custom travel arrangement or a small extra travel fee, so just get in touch.
How young can students start?
Around 6 to 7 for guitar and 7 to 8 for drums works best, because of instrument sizing and coordination. I'm flexible though, depending on the student.
What days are you available?
Currently Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays, with room to add more days in future.
Does the $60 trial count towards a lesson pack?
No. The trial is a standalone lesson and doesn't count towards a 5-lesson pack.
How long is a 5-lesson pack valid for?
5-lesson packs are valid for 6 months from purchase.
What's your cancellation policy?
Please give 24 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule. As a gesture of good faith there's no fee for your first late cancellation, but later cancellations within 24 hours are charged the full lesson fee.

Yes, my Working With Children Check (WWCC) is current.
